Thanks to Google open-source projects, thousands of interns will join Google from home. Across 43 countries, for his or her summer internship program. Google has been contributing to open source for a quick time now with projects. Like Android and Chromium being two of its primary open source projects. Over that last twenty years. Google has released thousands of open source projects and 2,600 of them are still active and being worked on.

Interns on Google’s summer internship will contribute to projects like TensorFlow. Kubernetes, Istio, Chromium, Apache Beat and OSS-Fuzz. They’re going to even be tackling the projects that support Covid-19 response efforts. Including integrating Covid-19. Data into the info Commons and contributing to the Covid Severity project.

Over the last 20 years. Google has released thousands of open source projects and nearly 2,600 are still active.

Besides contributing to Google-created projects like TensorFlow, Kubernetes, Istio, Chromium, Apache Beat, and OSS-Fuzz. The interns will tackle projects to support Covid-19 response efforts. Including integrating Covid-19 data into the info Commons and contributing to the Covid Severity project.

Google said it’s quite 1,000 technical interns actively contributing to open source projects.
